In this session, you will learn about the academic publishing environment and the process of submission to academic journals. You will also learn how to get the information you need to identify the best journals in your research area, and how to track & maximise the impact your publications have.  We will discuss the issue of publication rights, and copyright retention particularly in the field of open access publishing.
